...I say WIP because I have ten more to paint. Number two and three are finished though.

Khurasan 15mm 'Earth War Force Reserve' officer...
...this is the first of a range of new 'Earthdoom' 15mm figures to come from Khurasan Miniatures - I have twelve more to paint. Khurasan usually like to have the minis painted and photographed before they are released for sale but it is possible they may very well be the subject of a Kickstarter campaign which will include vehicles and possibly different scaled figures. More news when I get it.
"They’re “Reserve” because the suits were retired when mankind adopted heavy power armour, but then alien invaders hugged the human cities closely, meaning the power armour suits were not able to employ their extremely destructive weaponry. Earth forces had no choice but to take the old powered carapace armour out of storage in the fight to regain the planet."

'Black Earth: Heavy Metal' 15mm EUF Trooper...
...when I received my 28mm miniatures order from Nuclear Shrimp Games I found that Yannis, much to my 'delight' had included a couple of 15mm miniatures (I DON'T PAINT 15MM MINIS!!...but these are so nice...NO!!) they are producing for the current Kickstarter campaign. I, true to my conviction, refused to paint any...

Black Earth EUF Lieutenant...
...I just love these troopers! If this is an example of the figures I will receive from the now, well-funded Kickstarter I'm going to be both very impressed and very, very pleased!

WIP: Black Earth UEF Lieutenant...
...you might remember me ordering a few miniatures from Black Earth after pledging on their Kickstarter - well they arrived safely this morning and I have to say I'm delighted and, I have to admit, a little surprised. The photos on the website don't really do the models justice. They are very cleanly cast in resin, requiring only the minimum of 'clean-up' and the detail is excellent. I ordered the aforementioned Lieutenant, the EUF Infantry Squad and the EUF 'Hulk' Battlesuit (more on the latter two at a later date) and on arrival immediately built (body, two arms and head) the Lieutenant and the Mech's cockpit (pilot is excellent and there is some detail in the cockpit that I will add to). There is something about the aesthetic of these figures that really appeals to me - I love the chunky look to the troopers armour and the design of the helmet (this is what 40K Cadians should look like!).

WIP: Antenociti 28mm 'Roc' Dropship...
...I might use one of Antenocitis 'Komodo' suits (sadly out of production but I do have three) instead of the McVey T.H.I Utility Carapace. Problem is it doesn't look like it could fit in the cargo hold of the 'Roc' without folding or sitting in some way that is not immediately obvious. The one below was painted a several years ago so I'm just giving it a minor repaint and tidy-up.
'Dropship Dave'...
...an online friend christened me that a few months ago because I build and paint so many dropships. I admit it - I do have a penchant for dropships (must stem from the first viewing of 'Aliens') and have painted quite a few both in 15mm and 28mm. My friend has a few in his collection. I have seven in various stages of building and painting and keep going back and forth between them. The 'Roc' has priority at the moment but next in the queue is the second 'Superhawk' I have. At the moment it has just been basecoated, highlighted, edged, shaded and decalled (not immediately visible as I have gone for a very subdued scheme as might befit a special forces transport). It will remain in the monochrome scheme but I will add ID band of a different colour to make it more visually interesting.

WIP: Antenociti 'Roc' Dropship...
...gets two more passengers. I've just noticed I've missed the markings off the rifles and armour, like the last two, still needs insignia and rank markings. I wasn't happy with the ones I added to the first one so will wait until they are all painted and decide what to do then.
