For the orange, did you paint a solid line and then go over it with white to make it look distressed?
no - I used AK Interactive 'Worn Effects' brushed on, allowed to dry, over-painted with orange then when dry dampened and paint rubbed away and scratched with small brush and the point of a scalpel. Essentially the Hair-Laquer technique.
Ah... ok, I'll have to look that up. Do you find it works better than the hairspray technique?
on smaller figures definitely. I've used it on the recent 'rusty' bases on the blog too. They also have 'Heavy Chipping.
I was just looking at their site.. .i'll have to get some, since it's reasonably priced. Do you think I could brush it on to my 15mm vehicles, or is an airbrush required?
Brush is fime if a little inconsistent (actually helps the effect). Try it on a piece of scrap first.
Great, thank you!
