Clear Horizon's 15mm Drop-Pod...

...finished.

Clear Horizon's will be releasing a figure range to complement the drop-pod (and any future vehicles) but as they're not available for a few weeks I've added a couple of ACP mercanaries for scale purposes

Yep - I definitely hate 'Restic'...

...and no matter how much I like the look of a product in future I will not buy it if it is cast in this awful material. I salute those of you with the patience and perseverence to clean-up and prepare castings in this material for painting. Ebay here I come...

WIP: Clear Horizon's Drop-Pod...

...decals (from HIQPARTS and Dream Pod 9) - ideal for both 15mm and 28mm models. I particularly like the symbol on the 'cabin' doors as it seems to indicate the four access/egress points. Chips and scratches next.

A very big thankyou...

...to those of you who find my painting interesting enough to visit the blog on a regular basis (and to those who 'pop-in' just occasionally) - over 200,000 pageviews now! I hope to have lots of new and interesting items over the next few months to keep you returning. Cheers, David

WIP: Clear Horizons 15mm Drop-Pod...

...basic colours; some shading and edging. It will now be given a gloss coat in prep for decals

Difficult to believe I know...

...but the detail on this lovely resin Drop-Pod is not from a large scale kit but is actually designed for 15mm wargaming and is only about 35mm high! It is the first 'vehicle' released from what is planned to be quite an extensive range of sci-fi figures, vehicles and other items by Clear Horizon Miniatures, brainchild of my good forum buddy Mr.H.
If the Drop-Pod ( actually a Direct Intervention Vehicle) is anything to go by then this series will prove to be both imaginative and of the highest quality. I look forward to seeing (and painting) lots more.
WIP starts here...
